There is also a large political side to Global Combat, in which players must sometimes forge alliances.  Global Combat has a WW1 era motif and contains a Elo based rating system that rewards players depending on their place in the game, not just whether the win or loose.

The game is set in mediaeval times.  Gameplay is semi-turned based.  While some things are purely turn based (income, score updates,etc.), other things are of a turn-length time-based mode (combat actions, battlepoints regeneration, movement, etc.).  Thus it's somewhere between turn-based and slow-RTS, and continues even when you're not there.

There are hundreds of active players playing in games of 20-60 players with larger numbers of people playing on bigger maps.  Games can last anywhere from 20 days in the fast games to a few months in the Tournaments.  Games run at different speeds, sizes, lengths, and run continuously.

RPMworld Online Drag Racing

The RPMworld online game enables gamers to build and race one of 40 virtual muscle-cars, allowing them to trade parts and vehicles, tune their engine, and challenge online opponents to a real-time drag race.  The Virtual Drag Race game enables players to play the sport of drag racing with opponents thousands of miles apart with instant results. There is more than the races themselves as this site is rally a drag race community.  Much of the fun is building your dragster, checking the standings, and dealing at the swap meat.

Players win points for having the faster ET, or elapsed time in the drag race. As a player's score increases, the points can be used as currency in the "Swap Meet". This component of the game is really the key to making RPMworld unique every time. It's an environment similar to an online auction. No real money changes hands in the game, but players exchange points for faster parts and cars. With daily traffic at around 5,000 users, the swap meet has developed into a fascinating micro-economics simulation.

The first game produced by SP Camo was a World War 2 version of SP2.  The second game covers the post WWII era to modern times.  The games look promising even tho they are DOS games and its sometimes difficult to access the site.
